Valentines for the Troops

967 homemade valentines with heartfelt messages from OCHS, OCIS, and OCPS students will be delivered to NJ military personnel serving in Afghanistan and other locations around the world.

More troops from New Jersey are deployed right now than at any time since 2005. Approximately 1200 New Jersey soldiers, about 850 of them New Jersey Guardsmen and women, are serving across the world, in places such as Africa, Kuwait, Qatar, and Afghanistan.

We are so happy to let them know that we remember them and show we love them by sending homemade valentines.

This year's Valentines for the Troops program is the 10th annual drive for homemade cards and gifts for our military men and women serving abroad; and OC Schools are proud and honored to have participated every year.

There is still time to make

Valentines for the Troops!!!

Valentines will be delivered to

NJ military personnel serving in Afghanistan and other locations around the world.

More troops from New Jersey are deployed right now than at any time since 2005. Approximately 1200 New Jersey soldiers, about 850 of them New Jersey Guardsmen and women, are serving across the world, in places such as Africa, Kuwait, Qatar, and Afghanistan.

Please help us remember them and show we love them by making homemade valentines and collecting small teddy bears.

This year, we’ve also been asked to make a special appeal for black socks. All sizes for men and women are needed, but especially men’s socks in larger sizes.

This is our 10th annual Valentines for the Troops drive.

LET’S BEAT LAST YEAR’S RECORD OF 1,285 CARDS!!!

Card making supplies and premade cards to be decorated are available @the OCHS Library.

Please submit the cards (along with small teddy bears and black socks for men and women) to the OCHS Library.
